ESPN Sports Center to Now Embrace Gambling

In a bold move, 24-7 sports network ESPN will now begin featuring more commentary tied to sports betting as part of its popular “Sports Center” broadcast.

Ahh but the children still won’t be able to watch. The gambling discussion will take place as part of the Midnight Eastern Time edition hosted by Scott Van Pelt.

“We’ll do highlights specifically to show a horrendous loss for somebody that gave 7.5 points,” Van Pelt said. We’ll do that, because people bet.”

Last September, ESPN.com began featuring a Sports Betting section on its site after years of maintaining a far distance from the activity.
