Shocking Video Emerges of Bungling Machete and Scythe Waving Casino Bandits

Two men were jailed Monday for their role in a brazen casino robbery last October with every horrifying moment caught on video surveillance.

Wayne Marsh, 33, and Grant Walker, 24, are both seen in the video waving a scythe and machete in people’s faces while bundling banknotes into a bag. An accomplice Andrew Warley, 41, was also placed behind bars Monday.

The two men made a number of bungled missteps while attempting to flee the Walsall’s Grosvenor Casino in Bentley.

Marsh fell over as he exited the cashier’s office and seconds later both men tried to get into the same revolving door compartment – causing it to stop turning momentarily.

Walker and Warley had already raided two shops within the previous nine days

All three men admitted conspiracy to commit robbery and at Wolverhampton Crown Court Monday.  Warley was jailed for nine years, Walker for eight years and eight months, and Marsh for eight years and nine months.

“On the morning of September 21, Walker and an unknown offender stormed Wolverhampton’s One Stop store in Oxley Moor Road,” said a force spokesman. “After threatening staff members with an axe, [they] fled with cash and cigarettes in a builder’s bag, with Warley once again acting as getaway driver.

“They repeated the well-rehearsed act on September 27 − this time along with Marsh who was released from prison just five days earlier − at Co-Op in Unity Walk, Tipton, where they bagged £1,000 and a stash of cigarettes before again speeding off in the white Audi A5.

“But the trio barely had chance to count their casino takings before West Midlands Police moved in to arrest them.”
