A star-studded red carpet was to kick off the third annual Casino Entertainment Awards as part of this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E), featuring celebrities that looked more like a who’s who of “The Walking Dead” (and we’re not talking the actual cast from that show either).

The event presents awards honoring outstanding artists, executive and venues in the casino entertainment industry.

The celebrity list – those who might make an appearance but probably won’t – included none other than Charo (“Coochie, Coochie”), Kevin Burke, Kelly Clinton (who?), Jerry Lewis (still alive), Little River Band, Wayne Newton (still alive), Penn & Teller, Pia Zadora (one of the greatest actresses ever, not) and The World Famous Ink Spots (who we never heard of).

Let's see if Frank Sinatra, now 100 years old, makes an appearance from the After Life!

The celebrities begin arriving on their Hoverounds at 5:30 pm local time then they have to make their way back to their respective assistance living facilities.  An EMS vehicle will be parked along side the red carpet.

The awards show itself starts at 7 pm local time and should be a real hoot.  Let’s see how many awards Sheldon Adelson (probably the person responsible for rounding up this group of A-listers) walks away with.

Gambling911.com is at the event live…..well, not really.  We will be there in spirit….in keeping with the theme of course.
