Gambling911.com has a few previews for MLB games being played on Tuesday April 7, 2009.  Using the fun line in home games after a loss, Minnesota is 23-7.  The Twins are +190 at SBG Global.

Last season, the series was split but 8 of those 10 games were split.

Seattle is 3-11 in their last 14 games as an underdog.  Minnesota is 37-15 in their last 52 home games.  Be careful though, despite all these favorable stats for the Twins, starting pitcher, Nick Blackburn, is only 2-8 in his last 10 starts.

Now let's look at the Chicago Cubs vs. Houston Astros game.

SBG Global Opening Line: Cubs  -  120   ,  Total  8.5  Over - 120

The Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros meet in the second game of a three-game series on Tuesday night in Houston with Ryan Dempster going against Wandy Rodriguez.  It should be an excellent pitcc matchup of underrated starters on Tuesday since Dempster won 17 games last season for the Cubs while Rodriguez had an ERA of less than three at home last year.

SBG Global reports that early MLB Betting has the public taking Cubs on the Road.

Dempster made the All-Star team last year and became the first pitcher since 1969 to have 25 saves in one season and then win at least 17 games the next.  Dempster did most of his damage last year at home, going 14-3 so it will be interesting to see if he can carry that success on the road in 2009.

Rodriguez was just 5-5 at home last season but it was not his fault. He had a 2.99 ERA in 14 home starts but got very little run support.  Last season the Astros and Cubs were almost dead even in their series as Houston won 9 of the 17 matchups.  Houston was one of only two National League teams that had a winning record against the Cubs last season with Philadelphia being the other.

Here are the MLB Betting stats for Tuesday's game. The Cubs are 8-2 in their last 10 road games vs. a left-handed starter. The Cubs are 19-7 in their last 26 games as a road favorite. The Cubs are 9-4 in their last 13 vs. the National League Central. The Cubs are 20-8 in Dempster's last 28 starts as a favorite.

The Astros are 10-3 in their last 13 home games vs. a right-handed starter. The Astros are 21-7 in their last 28 home games. The Astros are 15-7 in their last 22 games vs. a right-handed starter. The Astros are 2-5 in Rodriguez's last 7 starts vs. the National League Central. The Astros are 4-1 in Rodriguez's last 5 home starts vs. the Cubs.

The Under is 7-0 in the Cubs last 7 games as a road favorite. The Under is 4-1 in the Cubs last 5 vs. the National League Central. The Over is 4-1 in the Cubs last 5 games vs. a left-handed starter. The Under is 4-1 in Dempster's last 5 starts vs. the National League Central. The Over is 5-2 in Dempster's last 7 road starts.

SBG Global Current Line: Cubs  -  115   ,  Total  8.5  Under - 120

The Under is 7-2 in the Astros last 9 vs. the National League Central. The Under is 7-2 in the Astros last 9 home games. The Under is 4-0 in Rodriguez's last 4 home starts. The Under is 4-0 in Rodriguez's last 4 home starts vs. the Cubs. The Under is 23-6 in the last 29 meetings in Houston between the two teams.
