Jason Chaffetz Announces Hearing Date for Online Poker

Utah Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz has announced a hearing date to determine the status of his co-authored legislation, Restore America’s Wire Act or RAWA for short.

Hearing Date: December 9, 2015 1:00 pm 2154 Rayburn House Office Building

Chaffetz has co-authored legislation that looks to prevent individual states such as New Jersey and Pennsylvania from offering legalized online poker and casino games within their borders. 

The bill, heavily touted by casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson, has yet to gain much traction up to this point, however, Gambling911.com noted last month that newly sworn in Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has hired one of Adelson’s lobbyists to help lead his staff
