What's The Over/Under on How Long Columnist John L. Smith Gets Fired From the LVRJ by New Owner Sheldon Adelson?

You can't make this stuff up.  Casino billionaire, GOP mega donor and online poker zealot Sheldon Adelson once filed a $15 million libel suit against Las Vegas Review Journal columnist John L. Smith after the later published a 2005 book mentioning the Vegas tycoon in an apparently not-so-flattering way.

Adelson last month bought the paper Smith works for to the tune of approximately ten times that paper's value.

Smith, to his credit, actually didn't hold back writing a piece that was semi-critical of Adelson following his purchase of the LVRJ, albeit with the title conciliatory title "Adelson Has a Chance to Prove Doubters Wrong".

We applaud Smith for his courage and will applaud him further if he manages to stick around beyond the 3-month mark under this new ownership arrangement.
