Here at Americas Cardroom, our motto is that you can never have too much of a good thing. That’s why we’re not letting the dust settle after the holidays and we’re jumping right into our first big event of 2016 with the High Five Tournament Series (January 20th-24th).
We know you’re going to love this event, but before we get into the details, let’s take a look back at 2015 – the biggest year in our history. Here are just some of the accomplishments:
- Seven $1,000,000 GTD Million Dollar Sundays
- Debut of Jackpot Poker, Spin to Get IN and Freebuy Super Series
- 50 Players sent to World Series of Poker Main Event
- 56 Players sent to Punta Cana Poker Classic
- Release of the MAC Poker Client
- Growth of The Sunday Special, biggest US Sunday major ($115k).
Getting back to the High Five Tournament Series, there will be $840,000 guaranteed over 5 days and 25 events. It is split equally with five events per day. And all of this is above and beyond the regular tournament schedule.
The Main Event is a $420,000 GTD on Sunday, January 24th (4pm ET). The buy-in is $455, but players can qualify for far less with our Mega Satellites, which will award hundreds of seats in the weekend leading up to the event.
We’ve run the High Five Tournament Series four times already in our history and it keeps returning due to player demand. They love the fact that that buy-ins range from just $2.20 up to the $455 for the Main Event. Note that 10 of the 25 events have a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000 or more, but many of our smaller prize pool tourneys end up being the most enjoyed.
Players also love the diversity of the tournament series. We have many different game types including Texas Holdem, Pot-Limit Omaha and PLO8. Structures include regular, turbo and hyper-turbos, with 4-max, 6-max, and 9-max variations.

We keep growing by leaps and bounds and more is in store for 2016. Unfortunately we can’t divulge our future big events right now, but rest assured they’re going to be big – VERY BIG.
