Novak Djokovic was the odds-on favorite at 4/7 after opening around 4/6 or 8/13 depending on the book.  He has consistently remained within this price range as a favorite heading up to the semi-finals.

"2015 was the best season and best year of my life undoubtedly,” Djokovic told the media ahead of this year's Australian Open.  “I'll try to obviously carry that confidence and high level of performance that I've had, especially towards the end of the year, into the new season. If I am able to do the same or better, like 2015, I'm not sure. Honestly, as I said, it's just the beginning."

Andy Murray was at 7/2 odds or 4/1 odds to win the 2016 Men’s Australian Open outright after opening at 5/1 prior to the start of the tournament.

Murray said ahead of the tournament: "I don't deserve to win it more than any other tournament. But I do feel that this is the slam where I have played consistently my best tennis at over the years.

"I've been in four finals here and obviously the goal is to win the title this year and I think it's definitely possible.

"There's no guarantees, but it's definitely possible because I've been so close in the past. There's no reason why I can't but I'll need to play my best - even my best ever - if I want to do it."

He remains at 4/1 odds heading into the semi-finals.

Roger Federer opened at 10/1 odds with that price being slashed to 6/1 at some books while most were holding at 7/1 coming into Tuesday's play.  Advancing into the semi-finals, Federer's odds had been cut down to 5/1.

Stan Wawrinka, meanwhile, was stunned by Milos Raonic, who opened at 33/1 odds. Raonic's win was among the biggest upsets of the tournament as he advances into the semi-finals at 13-1 odds.
