"The NFL might say, 'If we come there, you can't book the games,'" MGM Resorts sports book director Jay Rood said in an interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal this week. "Under no circumstances should that be allowed. It makes the casino industry appear hypocritical.”

Raiders owner Mark Davis met with casino billionaire and GOP mega donor Sheldon Adelson on Friday to discuss the prospects of relocating with the lure of a brand new stadium for which Adelson would help finance.

Davis called it a “great visit”.

Ron Reese, a spokesperson for one of Adelson’s casinos, Sands Las Vegas, said this week that the company envisions a public-private partnership to build a $1 billion domed stadium that can be shared by both a professional sports franchise and the University of Las Vegas sports program.
