In addition to the popular Super Bowl safety prop offered at most online sportsbooks, AceSportsbook.com has taken things a bit further by offering a Super Bowl 50 prop bet on whether the Panthers or Broncos score a safety with payout odds that are much greater than the 8-1 offered for either team.

The Panthers scoring a safety would pay out $140 for every $10 bet.

The Broncos scoring a safety would pay out $200 for every $10 bet.

Out of 49 Super Bowls played thus far, a safety has occurred in only nine of them.  Though there wasn’t a safety scored last year, the three previous Super Bowls each featured a safety.

A safety being scored in a Super Bowl is 4-3 since 2009.
