We know that most online gambling websites have been offering betting odds on American Idol, everything from who will win to the sex of the next American Idol. Now comes word that some of the online gambling websites like BetUS.com are considering offering odds on whether the 4th judge, Kara DioGuardi, will return next season.
Richard Reed, Spokesperson for BetUS.com, told Gambling911.com the odds of her returning seem highly unlikely and therefore the company probably will reframe from offering such odds. "We'll focus on American Idol betting props heading into the Final," he said. "The Kara prop bet might also be added."
The introduction of Kara DioGuardi as the fourth judge on 'American Idol' hasn't gone very well, according to PopEater.com.
OK! Magazine claims that fans and judges alike do not care for Kara.
"The plan to add a fourth person backfired. Now the producers are left with a tough decision: Do they go back to the original three-judge format, or leave Kara there?" an insider tells the magazine.
"During breaks, Simon, Randy and Paula would leave the table to talk to the crowd or get food, leaving Kara to swivel in her chair," an eyewitness adds.
"Throughout the process, Simon, Randy and Paula would reference previous seasons, and Kara would have no idea what they were talking about. They would just say, 'You had to be there.' Kara is clearly the new girl, and they don't seem to all get along," another source says.
Simon was also seen making faces at Kara as she was critiquing and Idol's performance.
BetUS.com was expected to release updated American Idol betting odds by Monday.
