Priced at $8900 coming into Tuesday's game against Oakland, the 27-year-old allowed three runs -- two earned -- in six innings against Toronto his last outing and is now 1-1, 6.55 so far in this short season. He did strike out six, giving him a total of 11 through his first two starts of the season.

In the limited 31 at-bats against six A's players - including Danny Valencia - Pineda has only allowed a single RBI.

Pineda (1-0) allowed six runs on eight hits (three of them homers) in just five innings last Wednesday but still managed to walk away with the win.

Priced at $7700, the 27-year-old was 1-0 in three starts against the Blue Jays in 2015, even tossing eight scoreless innings in one of those games at home. 

Josh Donaldson is hitless in 10 at-bats versus Pineda while Jose Bautista is 3-for-19 with two homers.
