Heading into this week’s Nationals-Marlins series, Washington pitchers scheduled to start this week were a combined 7-1 so far this season.  The weak link (Tanner Roark) got off to a bad start Monday resulting in only the third loss of the season for Washington.

Now presumably it’s back to business with Stephen Strasburg starting for the Nats.  He did struggle against Miami last season, going 1-2 with a 4.95 ERA in four starts.

Miami’s Adam Conley beat the Nationals during his rookie season in 2015, giving up three runs and two solo homers over five innings.  He got off to a rough start against them in an earlier game this season that ended due to rain.

Strasburg and the Nationals look like the smart bet today priced decently at -135.  Conley has had some shining moments, including his last start, that have otherwise kept this price within betting range.
