It's a matchup of the Western Conference's top-rated defensive team in more than a decade against a once-adequate roster's skeleton, and it's been even more lopsided than everyone expected, Kevin Croust of Stats LLC suggests.
As a 16-point favorite in Game 1, the Spurs ended up winning by 31 points and they continued to manhandle the Grizzlies in Game 2.
San Antonio being on the road hasn't mattered much in this series as they look to capture their ninth straight win against Memphis in Game 4.
The Grizzlies kept it close in Game 3 at home - as far as the spread was concerned at least - losing by just nine points as opposed to the 12.5 points allotted to them with the spread. In reality though this was a competitive game as Memphis actually led by a point coming into the fourth quarter.
"I thought we were a little disjointed at times, mostly because of their pressure and physical toughness," coach Gregg Popovich said. "But we fought through it."
