Should I Bet the Indians-Tigers With -163 Line: Indians 9-2 on Road With Carrasco
We here at Gambling911.com prefer to bet under the -160 threshold and even that number is a little high for our tastes (-140 and under is the best scenario).
Update: Bet is ACTION as both pitchers started: Carrasco exited after 3rd inning with leg injury
Sunday may be the exception with Cleveland coming in at -163 at some books.
PITCHING MATCHUP: Indians RH Carlos Carrasco (2-0, 2.79 ERA) vs. Tigers RH Shane Greene (1-1, 7.15)
Cleveland is 9-2 in Carrasco’s last eleven road starts. He is (2-0, 2.79) so far this season and he’s allowed a mere one run in each of his last two outings.
On top of everything else, Carrasco has allowed just 40 hits off of 128 at bats against the current Tigers lineup with five home runs and fifteen extra base hits.
Miguel Cabrera is 9-for-24 with a homer and J.D. Martinez 6-for-18 with a pair of home runs against Carrasco and we do highly recommend both hitters for Daily Fantasy play today.
Carrasco’s record and 6.29 ERA are not overly impressive against Detroit. We anticipate more runs to be scored against him today as it is typically uncommon for starters to string together so many consecutive solid performances, regardless of how outstanding an ace pitcher may be.
Detroit’s starting pitcher helps reinforce the argument for Cleveland and Carrasco. The Tigers are just 1-8 in Greene’s last 9 starts.
The OVER is 10-3-1 in Carrascos last 14 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance, 20-9-1 in Carrasco’s last 30 starts overall and 14-6 in the Tigers last 20 Sunday games.
The OVER is 5-0 in Carrasco’s last 5 road starts vs. Tigers and 20-7 in the last 27 meetings between these two clubs.
Gotta go with Cleveland -163 and the OVER 8 for this one.
