New York Yankees Bookie Guide, Sports Betting Outlook
Bookies catering to that elusive Yankees fan base may be in for a rough outing as we approach the month of June. Bronx bookies should be especially vigilant during this period.
Heading into the period of June 24, New York continues to hover right around the .500 mark and will take on a Twins team they have dominated at home 13-40.
The Yankees Starting Pitchers:
Masahiro Tanaka (4-2, 2.91) - FRIDAY JUNE 24 - Tanaka (4-2) allowed one run on seven hits while striking out five over eight innings to earn the win Friday at the Twins. (Fri Jun 17)
Michael Pineda (3-7, 5.82) – SATURDAY JUNE 25 - Pineda recorded nine strikeouts against the Twins on Saturday but failed to factor into the decision, surrendering six hits and four runs (three earned) over 5.1 innings. (Sat Jun 18). Five of the last six games he has started in have gone OVER 8.5 runs. With Ervin Santana enjoying his second win of the season and the last four games he has started in for Minnesota resulting in double digit total runs scored, the OVER needs to be considered this day.
Nathan Eovaldi (6-4, 5.02) - SUNDAY JUNE 26 - Eovaldi allowed four runs on six hits and two walks across 5.1 innings in Sunday's loss to the Twins. He struck out two as he fell to 6-4. (Sun Jun 19) Four of the last games he has started in have resulted in double digit runs being scored and he's allowed four or more runs in each of those. He'll be hungry for a win here against a soft Twins club though having not had a win in recent games.
Ways for Yankees bookies to reduce their losses in 2016:
*Provide your players with live in-play betting through use of a proven offshore Pay Per Head provider such as Gambling911.com endorsed PremierPerHead.com.
*No matter how mediocre the Yankees may appear to be each season, there will always be folks looking to bet them to win the World Series. Encourage your players to do just that. The odds of it happening are slim to none. As of May 22, the Yankees were listed with 45-1 odds of winning the World Series.
*Trust the Pay Per Head linesmakers. You may find a line for a particular starting pitcher a little too attractive to sports bettors but there may be a reason behind this (Pitcher A past performance versus a particular team or left-handers).
*Encourage other forms of gambling such as player prop bets, parlays and totals wagering.
