Online bookmakers were scrambling throughout the early morning hours to either update or remove entirely odds on the New York Jets to win the AFC East now that Brett Favre has officially joined the team.

As of 1:00 am EST, SBG Global offered odds of the Jets winning the AFC East at +1500 for a payout potential of $1300 on every $100 bet.  Sportsbook.com had promptly slashed their odds to +250 on the Jets winning the East.

"Does anybody really believe the New England Patriots won't win this division?" asks Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

Still, those 13/1 odds were too tempting for sports betting enthusiasts night owls to overlook.

Even better odds could be found at Sportsbetting.com. This book was still listing the Jets regular season wins at 7 ½ (over/under).

"With Brett Favre the Jets should easily win more than 8 games this season," Shapiro said. "That line is like taking candy from a baby."

Sportsbetting.com - which is not endorsed by Gambling911.com - is known for having its lines makers going to bed early.
