Trump Picks Pence as VP at 1-3 Odds
Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump has picked Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate for Vice President, sources close to Roll Call revealed early Thursday afternoon.
The Roll Call website had crashed just minutes after the news.
Pence had been listed as a 1-3 favorite to be nominated over the past week. Both former House Leader Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie were also said to be under consideration.
An official announcement was sceduled Friday morning ahead of next week's Republican Convention in Cleveland, however, in light of the attack in Nice, France, Trump has postponed this announcement (time to be determined).
