According to police reports, Robert Waller, 46, of Bradford, England accused the homeless female of stealing his heroin substitute.

She was standing outside the bookie shop when the defendant approached demanding money and threatened to drag her home.

The female then ran into the bookie shop but was followed by the deranged man.  He then attacked and proceeded to drag her around the shop by her coat.

Waller pleaded guilty to affray, which is defined as an instance of fighting in a public place that disturbs the peace.

The court heard he had 26 previous convictions for 95 offences, ten of them against the person, and had been given a seven-year prison sentence for robbery in 2006.
