A witness told NBC Bay Area the warehouse involved at 1530 East 12th Street was a spot for raves and gambling with dice.

Police responded to reports of the shooting at 5:41 a.m. inside a building on the 1500 block of 12th Street. Oakland police had the area surrounded while at least one person inside refused to surrender.

By 10 a.m., Oakland police said two people had been arrested with one individual suffering from gun shot wounds.  They were treated at the scene.

NBC News also reports that, in addition to those arrested, 12 people were removed from the warehouse.
