A Whitehall, Pennsylvania attorney has been charged with trying to run down his neighbor, a famed sports handicapper and one-time offshore oddsmaker, for the second time in less than two months.
Robert Creem, 69, of the 1500 block of Alta Drive in Whitehall Township, is charged with aggravated assault, retaliation against a witness or victim, reckless endangerment, making terroristic threats and simple assault.
The victim, Dale Stickel, was walking a neighbor’s cat on the grass along an intersection near his home when the first incident occurred May 31.
Stickel then saw Creem approach him in his vehicle across a parking lot and approximately 200 feet into the grass. According to the court report, the cat walker was able to jump out of the way as Creem’s car came towards him. The reckless driver then made a second attempt at running down Mr. Stickel
As a result of that first incident, Creem was charged with aggravated assault and related offenses and is currently awaiting trial on those charges.
On Tuesday of this week, Creem appeared in county court before Judge Kelly Banach for bail hearing and was ordered to stay away from Stickel’s residence and the surrounding complex. But Creem returned to the complex and attempted to run Stickel down again just hours after said bail hearing.
Mr. Stickel related to police that, once again, he had to jump out of the way of the careening vehicle.
Stickel, a regular reader of the Gambling911.com website, is better known to his loyal fan base as “The Philly Prince”, a sports handicapper with Close to 12K Twitter followers. He is a former oddsmaker with offshore sportsbook Eurosports/English Sports Betting, and a one-time head handicapper with LVSN. He also appears on ESPN and is a FOX Radio Host. Stickel is a two-time Hilton Super Contest Finalist.
"My client is fairly ill and is at a local hospital for observation," defense attorney David Vaida said Wednesday afternoon.
But by Thursday, Creem was reportedly back in jail.
Witnesses also testified in court on Tuesday that Creem has repeatedly returned to the condo complex since the initial court order was granted.
No word on motive but public records seem to show that Creem suffers from a bipolar disorder.
Having obtained his law license by the state of Pennsylvania in 1973, a Disciplinary Board once found Creem guilty of using client funds for his own personal use.

Creem reportedly still practices law today at Creem Law Offices in Whitehall, Pennsylvania.
