Carmine Avellino, a Luchese capo involved in illegal gambling, waste management racketeering, and extortion - has told the feds their plea deal is garbage.

The 72-year-old is going to trial Aug. 22 in Brooklyn Federal Court, accused of extending a loan of $100,000 to reputed Luchese associate Charles Giustra, then sending two goons to threaten him when he was late on the payments.

The goons have already testified to their involvement in shaking down Giustra.

Daniel Capra and his brother, Michael Capra, have pleaded guilty to doing so and face up to three years in prison but Avellino will likely do more time with his extensive criminal record and rank within the Luchese family.
