You can bet the Tigers-Rangers series for Friday through Sunday with odds that had Texas as a -200 favorite Friday and Detroit at +170. The total was coming in at 9.5.
The Rangers have won 8 of the last 10 games in this series.
The UNDER is 9-1-2 in the Rangers last 12 overall and 10-3-1 in the Tigers last 14 road games.
FRIDAY’S PITCHING MATCHUP: Tigers RH Anibal Sanchez (6-11, 5.88 ERA) vs. Rangers RH Yu Darvish (2-3, 2.78)
Sanchez has allowed 40 hits on 130 at bats versus the current Detroit roster.
Darvish is winless in his last six games. The 29-year-old native of Japan has not yielded more than three runs in any of his eight starts in 2016, but reached seven innings for the first time Sunday.
The least hits allowed for this weekend versus the opposing lineup belongs to the Rangers AJ Griffin, allowing just 11 hits off of 61 at bats (with 2 homers during that span permitted).
Griffin will start for Texas on Sunday and enters that game with a 5-1 record and 4.38 ERA. He got beat up for five runs in his last start.
Michael Fulmer will start for Detroit. He has held opponents to two or fewer runs in eight of his last ten starts with another yielding just three runs in 7.2 innings pitched. Fulmer failed to capture this win his last outing.
With a good UNDER trend here, we will take the UNDER if 7.5 or higher for Sunday’s game.
