FIFA YouTuber Charged With Promoting Online Gambling to Minors

A popular YouTube personality has been charged with promoting unlawful gambling in the UK to minors.

Craig " Nepenthez" Douglas is one of two men charged with violating Gambling Act laws in what is believed to be the first prosecution involving betting on video games.  He is also accused of luring minors to gamble.

Douglas has some 1.5 million subscribers across two YouTube channels.

A scandal involving CS:GO, widely reported by Gambling911.com over the summer, has brought more attention to the matter of video game gambling and the enticement of minors to do so.

The case has been adjourned until 14 October.
