The 2016 World Series Game Two betting odds had Chicago at -152 and Cleveland at +148 with a total of 7.

Pitching Matchup for Cubs vs. Indians World Series Game 2

Cubs RH Jake Arrieta (0-1, 4.91 ERA) vs. Indians RH Trevor Bauer (0-0, 5.06)

Arrieta has given up four runs in three of his five career postseason starts.  Arrieta started one game at Progressive Field as a member of the Baltimore Orioles  where he allowed six runs but still walked away the winner following a 14-8 Cubs victory on Aug. 10, 2010.

Bauer badly cut his right pinkie finger while working on his drone on Oct. 14 and had to leave his Game 3 start in the American League Championship Series against Toronto after his finger began bleeding profusely.  He reports the cut has healed.

What’s at Stake in the 2016 World Series Game 2

The Cubs will come into Game 2 following a 6-0 loss on Tuesday to the Indians.

ESPN.com on Wednesday offered up a number of trends that point to Chicago being “in worse trouble then you might think”.

Game 1 losers have lost the past six World Series while the Cubs are 1-12 in the previous 13, coming back to win only in the 2015 NLDS against St. Louis, when losing a Game One of a Playoffs series.

The Cubs now have lost Game 1 of a best-of-seven series 10 times. They're 0-9 in the previous nine.

ESPN.com also notes that the Cubs have now been shut out three times in this postseason.

Of the seven previous teams to get blanked three times or more in the same postseason, just one -- the 1981 Dodgers -- went on to win the World Series.

Takeaway BettingTrends for 2016 World Series Game Two

The Cubs are 10-2 in Arrieta’s last 12 starts when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game and 6-2 in his last 8 interleague starts.  The Cubs are 42-13 in their last 56 games vs. a right-handed starter.

The Indians are 9-3 in Bauer’s last 12 interleague starts.  They are 21-7 in their last 28 games vs. a right-handed starter.

Special Betting Advisory

Wednesday's start time was moved up one hour due to the threat of rain.
