Staten Island Mob Movie Teaser Released: ‘Bound By Debt’

Several Staten Island MMA actors star in the upcoming film “Bound By Debt”.

"Filming on Staten Island was a dream come true. Not only was I able to promote a great borough, but the support from all of the actors and merchants, as well as the Staten Island Advance have been nothing short of phenomenal. I am blessed to have this opportunity," said Paul Mormando, a Graniteville resident and accomplished MMA actor, who is producing the film with his wife, Anna Mormando.  The MMA fighter was interviewed by Staten Island Live, which received the advanced trailer and offered up a synopsis of the film.

Mormando, who is also the star of "Bound by Debt," plays Dylan James, a tough underground fighter who is estranged from his family.

His brother in the film, Robert James, played by Bobby Ciasulli, is an addicted gambler with a wife and teenage daughter. When Dylan can no longer fulfill his obligations to the mafia, mob boss, "Mr. Russo" -- played by Samuel DiFiore -- uses Robert's gambling addiction and family as leverage against Dylan. The two brothers will have to reunite to save themselves and Robert's family.
