2017 Golden Globes Betting Odds to Win: Casey Affleck, Natalie Portman, More

BetOnline was offering 2017 Golden Globes betting odds to win Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Picture Drama and Musical/Comedy.

Favorites for Each Golden Globes Category

Casey Affleck was the -300 favorite to win Best Actor for his critically acclaimed role in Manchester by the Sea.  A $30 bet would be required to win $10 (with the $30 original bet refunded assuming the win).

“Those are relatively short odds for the Golden Globes or Oscars,” notes Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website. 

Typically, so-called “locks” to win start at -1000 and up.

Denzel Washington will provide some competition for Affleck at 3/1 or +300 odds.  The payout would be $30 for every $10 bet.

La La Land is one such “lock” to win Best Musical/Comedy Film at -3300 odds.  Good luck placing that wager.  You will need to bet $330 just to win $10.

Best Drama was an extremely tight race with two films – Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight – flirting with EVEN odds.

Natalie Portman for Jackie was the -500 favorite to win Best Actress at this year’s Golden Globes Awards.
