Nevada, Atlantic City See Largest Revenue Increases in Years
Nevada has seen its biggest profit hike since 2008. Atlantic City posted it first revenue hike in 10 years.
Room rentals and fees in Vegas helped resorts generate income of almost $979 million from total revenues of $25.2 billion in the year ended last June 30, the state Gaming Control Board said.
In Atlantic City it was online gambling that helped boost revenues.
From the Associated Press:
Figures released Thursday by New Jersey gambling regulators show the casinos won $2.6 billion from gamblers in 2016, an increase of 1.5 percent from a year earlier.
The last time Atlantic City casino revenue increased was in 2006, just as a wave of Pennsylvania casinos began opening and drawing away Atlantic City's customers.
