Brent Musburger Leaves ESPN to Create Sports Betting Network in Vegas

The South Point sports book is set to be the hub for Brent Musburger’s new sports betting network. Musburger announced he was leaving ESPN where he has served as a broadcaster since 1990, starting at the parent company ABC. Previously he was a broadcaster with CBS since 1973.

“What a wonderful journey I have traveled with CBS and the Disney company,” Musburger said in a statement. “A love of sports allows me to live a life of endless pleasure. And make no mistake, I will miss the arenas and stadiums dearly. Most of all, I will miss the folks I have met along the trail.

“But the next rodeo for me is in Las Vegas. Stop by and we’ll share a cold one and some good stories. I may even buy!”

All programs for the new network will be originating out of the South Point Hotel and Casino. He is set to host the main afternoon show on the network’s SiriusXM radio channel. He will not be a tout and sell picks.

The first show was expected to debut this Super Bowl weekend.
