Only 27 Percent Fans Want Patriots to Win Super Bowl 51, 60 Percent of Gamblers Do

While a recent poll shows that just 27 percent of folks surveyed wanted the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl 51, that number is much higher for actual gamblers.

A new report from Public Policy Polling found that 53 percent are pulling for the Atlanta Falcons to win in Houston.

Some 60 percent of sports bettors, however, were backing New England to cover the 3-point spread.

Sports bettors don’t necessarily like the team they are wagering on.

The Public Policy Polling also revealed that the Patriots are the NFL’s most hated team.

22 percent of those polled say that Tom Brady is their favorite quarterback. Considering how many QBs there are in the league, that’s not a bad percentage.

That being said, it was also revealed 24 percent find Brady to be the least favorite quarterback.
