2017 Oscars Odds to Win Best Director a ‘Lock’ for Damien Chazelle

La La Land director Damien Chazelle is a “lock” to win Best Director at the 2017 Oscars but you’ll have to pay a steep price to win a few meager dollars.

How steep?

You will have to wager $210 just to win $10.  OUCH!

No nominee priced this high has ever lost, hence the “lock” status.

La La Land is an American musical romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Chazelle.  It’s the story of Mia, an aspiring actress, and Sebastian, a dedicated jazz musician, struggling in the city of LA.

Chazelle made his directorial debut with the musical Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench (2009).  His film Whiplash (2014) , premiering at Sundance Film Festival and went on to receive five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
