Paddy Power Plans 'Spooky' Stunt at Leicester v Liverpool Game

The Daily Star was reporting Monday that controversial bookmaker Paddy Power had been planning a stunt at Monday night’s Leicester v Liverpool matchup that would rival some of their previous gimmicks.

It is most likely alluding to the sacking of Claudio Ranieri which some have coined ‘the death of football’, the Daily Star suggests.

While offering few details, the stunt is expected to feature a hearse driving around King Power Stadium area ahead of the game.

Paddy Power is considered the masters of marketing in the world of bookmakers with previous campaigns including the erecting of a Hollywood-like sign over a golf event and the placement of a “betting” confessionary outside a catholic church.

Liverpool was at 4/6 odds of winning Monday night, Leicester was at 4/1 odds and the Draw featured a price of 3/1.
