Yankees Have Been Great to Sports Bettors, Bad to Bookies This Week

The New York Yankees have not only won six straight heading into Easter Sunday, they’ve done so as a reduced price favorite or dog in each of those days.

In past years, books could discourage action on the public favorite Yankees by offering out-of-reach prices.  But early in the season, New York still had great value to sports bettors.  Anyone wagering on the Yankees this past week should have made a generous profit.

As a -130 favorite hosting St. Louis Sunday night, New York still had value.  The books were seeing mostly balanced action on this game.

The Cardinals were 0-for-5 in the last 5 meetings in New York at Yankee Stadium.
