SBG Global has significantly improved its odds offerings over the past year and this week they release 2009 NBA Finals MVP odds

The favorites shouldn't surprise anyone.

Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic and Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers were both listed with +300 odds, for a payout potential of $300 on every $100 bet.

Dwight Howard finished with a career postseason-high 40 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists. In the last 15 years, only Dwight Howard, Shaquille O'Neal and Tim Duncan averaged 20 points and 15 rebounds per game in a single playoffs in which they played at least 10 games. The good news for Howard is that Duncan and Shaq both won NBA titles in the seasons that they pulled that off.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 35 points and 10 assists Friday to secure a spot in the Finals.  He has now scored at least 500 points in four different postseasons. Only Michael Jordan, who accomplished the feat eight times, hs done it more.

Pau Gasol comes in with +500 odds for a payout potential of $500 with every $100 bet.  This NBA All-Star could not be stopped by Denver.  But NBA Finals MVP?

"It is difficult to imagine another player other than Kobe Bryant on the Lakers walking away as the MVP," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

Likewise, the same could be said of Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.

Remaining 2009 NBA Finals MVP odds:

Rashad Lewis +800

Hedo Turkoglu +1000

Lamar Odom +2500

Field (Any Other Player) +1000
