Hence Odds to Win the 2017 Kentucky Derby

Hence had odds of winning the Kentucky Derby that would pay close to $215 for every $10 bet.

Hence ended up being the number 8 post position draw on Wednesday, one of the best positions to start with eight wins in Kentucky Derby history.  Mine That Bird last won in that position in 2009. 

Winner of the Sunland Derby, Hence suffered a 7th place finish the race prior at the Southwest Stakes.

He is trained by Steve Asmussen who had this to say about the post position:

“The eight for Hence is one of the preferred spots statistically. I think, looking at the stats the last 20 years, the eight, 13 and 16 posts have produced the most in-the-money finishes.”
