What Are the Current Odds of Classic Empire Winning the 2017 Preakness Stakes?

The odds of Kentucky Derby winner Classic Empire winning the 2017 Preakness were at 3-1.  He had the second shortest odds of any entry in Saturday’s race.

Classic Empire, the initial Kentucky Derby favorite, finished 4th at Churchill Downs.  He left the race with a swollen eye.

“I don’t honestly know how he finished fourth,” trainer Mark Casse said. “And then to come back with his eye the way it was. It just seemed to make him more determined. He’s fired up and ready.”
