Poker pros routinely place side bets and often times these wagers make big news. The bet that generated the most attention here at Gambling911.com (i.e. the most traffic), that crazy Mike Noori attempt to scarf down some $1K worth of McDonalds hamburgers within a 36 hour time limit. Needless-to-say, he didn’t come close.
Two of the bigger names in poker – Daniel Negreanu and Jason Mercier – have announced their side bets for this year’s World Series of Poker, a little less crazy than eating a bunch of McDonald’s burgers.
Mercier was offering 2-1 odds that he will win a bracelet at the 2017 World Series of Poker…..entirely within the realm of possibility.
Negreanu has gone a little off the rails, offering a bet that he can win three WSOP bracelets this summer at EVEN money. He would later shut the bet down after enough action had come in, though not revealing how much he stands to lose.
