Man Behind Deadly Manila Casino Attack was Heavily in Debt Gambling Addict

The man behind Friday's deadly attack on a casino in the Philippine capital Manila has been identified as Jessie Carlos Javier, a 42-year old Filipino and father of three, police said on Sunday.

36 people were killed during the attack, mostly the result of smoke inhalation after Javier set casino tables ablaze.

While the Islamic state claimed it was responsible for the attack, officials insisted it was a botched robbery.
