What to Bet On this Week at America’s Bookie – June 13, 2017 Edition

The summer sports betting season is officially underway after Golden State brought the NBA season to a close with a 4-1 series victory against Cleveland in the championship series. The NHL is also closed for business after Pittsburgh won its second-straight Stanley Cup title with a 4-2 series win against Nashville.

When it comes to sports betting this week at America’s Bookie, there is a full slate of MLB games to choose from starting with a double header of nationally televised action this Wednesday night. First at 7:10 p.m. (ET) on the MLB Network, the Chicago Cubs and the New York Mets will wrap up a three-game set with Chicago going with Mike Montgomery as its starter and New York turning to Matt Harvey to ensure the series win. The Mets hammered out a 6-1 victory on Monday night as -131 home favorites with the total staying UNDER the closing 8.5-run line.

Later on Wednesday night, the New York Yankees look to stay hot in the final game of a three-game road series against the Los Angeles Angels. Heading into Tuesday’s Game 2, New York’s current winning streak stands at six games after beating the Angels 5-3 on Monday as a -133 road favorite. The total stayed UNDER 8.5 runs in that game after going OVER in five of the Yankees’ previous six outings. They are now four games up in the AL East at 38-23. Look for Michael Pineda to get the start for New York on Wednesday night while Los Angeles counters with Matt Shoemaker as its starter. Game time is set for 10:00 p.m. on ESPN.

Thursday’s MLB schedule features Game 1 of an extended four-game weekend clash in the NL East between the Washington Nationals and the Mets. Heading into Tuesday’s game against Atlanta, the Nationals have lost their last four contests and they are just 1-5 in their last six games. They will start this series with Gio Gonzalez on the mound while New York is expected to go with Steven Matz as its starter. Game time from Citi Field is set for 7:10 p.m. with the MLB Network covering the game nationally.
