First 500 entries receive a free commemorative chip
There are three starting flights left for players to enter the Main Event at Golden Gates Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado. Flight 1A drew 76 players with 18 of them bagging for Sunday's Day 2 affair. This beautiful Rocky Mountain property has been home to some of the largest events in HPT history, with Main Event prize pools often surpassing the million dollar mark. This special summer event has a discounted rate with a buy-in of just $1,100 compared to the usual $1,650. Still, last summer there were over 500 entries and a total prize pool of more than half a million dollars.
This weekend's tournament is HPT's 200th Main Event since the tour's inception in 2005. To celebrate that landmark, the first 500 entries will receive a complimentary poker chip as a keepsake (pictured).

Several guarantees on July 27 - August 7 series
HPT is headed back to Mississippi at the end of the month for another tour stop at Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg. The series kicks off with a $250 Monster Stack event that has a $50k guarantee. The winner of that event will receive a special championship belt (pictured) in addition to the prize money. The action continues daily all the way to the following weekend's $1,100 Main Event.
