Phil Hellmuth Picks Ben Lamb to Win 2017 WSOP Main Event

World Series of Poker bracelet record holder Phil Hellmuth revealed on ESPN2 Saturday afternoon his prediction for the 2017 WSOP Main Event winner.  He believes Ben Lamb will get the job done.

Lamb was one of just a few big name players remaining in the event with a little over 200, down from the third largest Main Event field ever of 7221. At the time of this writing, Lamb had the 64th largest chip stack.

To date, Lamb is up $7,207,830 in career live poker earnings.  He finished 3rd at the 2011 WSOP Main Event.

“In 2011 there might have been 100 very good tournament players and now there’s 500 very good tournament players in a field of over 7,000,” Lamb told PokerCentral.com. “A lot of times you just don’t get to play against them and I’ve been very fortunate up to this point with my tables.”
