More Bounced Checks for Online Poker Room PokerStars

Following news that $32 million of funds were froze by the US Government two weeks ago, PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker appeared to be back up with a new processor and brand new checks.  By Sunday, customers were reporting that some of these checks were beginning to bounce as well.

"Pokerstars is apparently cancelling payment on checks not issued from the seized funds," one individual commented on the popular Two Plus Two posting forum.

There is some speculation that the same payment processor involved in the US seizure is at the center of the latest check debacle, though none of this was immediately confirmed to Gambling911.com.

Again, we cannot stress enough the need for online poker players to deposit checks issued by PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker with caution.  Continuing to bounce checks could result in one's banking institution flagging individual banking accounts.  In rare instances, credit scores are negatively impacted.

The Poker Players Alliance has long argued that poker is a "game of skill", not one of "chance" and therefore cannot be included in legislature banning many forms of online gambling.  Ironically, the National Football Association is using the same argument, but in a different way, suggesting that legalized sports betting in the state of Delaware should be abolished since wagering on sporting events such as football is a "game of skill".
