RENO, Nev. (Associated Press) — Reno police are searching for a suspect in a shooting over the weekend at a casino south of downtown.

The incident occurred at the Peppermill Casino at around 5:30 am Sunday morning.

Officers say they found one victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound who was taken to a local hospital.

The name of the victim is being withheld with no further details offered.

Meanwhile, also from the AP, a naked gunman was shot by police on Saturday in another Nevada gambling Mecca, that being Las Vegas.

That suspect’s condition was not immediately known on Monday.

This is the 16th police shooting in Las Vegas so far this year, a sharp increase from the 10 total police shootings in 2016. The shooting Saturday also marks the eighth instance where officers were shot or shot at in the past seven weeks.
