Odds of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor Mcgregor Fight Going the Distance
Fight fans across the globe are hopeful that the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor bout goes the entire distance.
Oddsmakers believe it won’t go the distance at -260 odds while the YES would pay out $20 for every $10 bet or $200 for every $100 bet.
On Thursday (August 17), the Telegraph asked how much money the Mayweather-McGregor will ultimately take in.
More than four million purchases were made for Mayweather's win over Pacquiao, bringing in nearly $400million in revenue. If Mayweather and McGregor can attract nearly as much interest, the figure will be similar this time around.
A UK broadcaster has not been signed up yet and negotiations are ongoing, but additional money will come from international rights sales.
The August 26 fight is being held in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, a venue with a capacity of around 20,000. The easiest comparison, again, is with the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight two years ago, where $70million was generated in ticket sales. But that was held at the MGM Grand, which has a slightly smaller capacity, so there is a possibility that receipts from Mayweather-McGregor could top this fight.
Floyd Mayweather is expected to make out like a bandit on his attire alone - an incredible £20million
Some would look at these numbers and expect there is great motivation factors to go the distance, for both fighters.
