NCAAF Betting Futures: What Teams Won't Make It To Playoffs

College Football Week 1 started on Saturday, August 26. Week 1 doesn’t officially end until this Monday night on Sept. 4.

Unless there’s a massive upset, the odds on the teams below should fall. All 4 teams offer odds that should attract action from both casual players and pro players.

Online bookie agents must keep track of action on each one of the teams in order to make cash from football betting. Below is more info.

Ohio State   +140

The Buckeyes are hot. Vegas has taken a lot of action on the Buckeyes to not just make the College Football Playoff, but to also win it.

The reason is because of QB J.T. Barrett. I don’t believe Barrett is as good of a quarterback as so many believe he is. I also think Ohio State’s defense has more trouble this season than it has in past seasons.

I think the Buckeyes drop their game versus Penn State on Oct. 28. There’s also a chance that Oklahoma upsets OSU on Sept. 9 while losing to Michigan at the end of the season appears to be a foregone conclusion.

USC                +145

USC has all the elements to be the best team in the Pac 12 save for one. The Trojans’ offensive line is young.

It’s difficult to see the O-line developing enough for USC to go undefeated this season. That’s what it’s going to take for the Trojans to make it to the CFP.

Not only that, but USC doesn’t play Washington, the best team in the Pac 12. That favors Washington since the Huskies dominated every team in the Pac last season save for USC.

Road games against Colorado, Notre Dame, and Washington State aren’t walkovers. Games versus Stanford and Texas aren’t easy as well.

Michigan      +500

Pay per head agents might want to encourage as much action on Michigan as possible.  The offensive line broke down towards the end of last season.

Jim Harbaugh had to replace 9 of his 11 starters on Michigan’s defense. The Wolverines battle both Penn State and Wisconsin on the road this season.

Plus, Michigan takes on Florida this Saturday. 3 to 4 losses for the Maize and Blue isn’t out of the question.

Auburn         +500

At Clemson on Sept. 9 is a loss. At LSU on Oct. 14 is a loss. At Arkansas on Oct. 21 could be a loss. At Texas A&M on Nov. 4 could be a loss. Versus Alabama on Nov. 25 is easily a loss.

Best case scenario? Auburn finishes with 3 losses. Worst case scenario? Auburn loses 5 games. Either way, it’s tough see the Tigers making it to the CFP.

Online bookie agents should consider setting max betting limits higher on Auburn, Michigan, USC, and Ohio State than on the rest of the contenders to make it to the College Football Playoff.

All 4 teams are offering underlay odds.
