Lucas Glovers odds of winning the 2009 US Open on Thursday were nonexistent as he appeared among the "field" options at online sportsbooks the likes of SBG Global.   By the weekend, Glover's odds had hovered around 4/1 or +400, paying $400 for every $100 bet.  "Field" options typically pay anywhere from $500 to $100 on a $100 bet.

Those that eventually got around to listing Glover made him a $20,000 long shot (200/1).

Lucas Glover won the 2009 US Open in a rain delayed event that carried into Monday.

Glover finished off a three-over 73 in the final round to post four-under 276, winning by two shots over Phil Mickelson, David Duval and Ricky Barnes.

For Mickelson (70) it was a record-setting fifth runner-up finish at the U.S. Open -- and fourth in New York.
