Redskins Final Second Fumble Caused $350K Shift at Books
David Payne of ESPN.com revealed early Tuesday morning that at least one Vegas book witnessed a massive shift in money movement from almost certain profit to huge loss following Monday night’s football game between the Redskins and Chiefs. Over 65% of the bets were coming in on Kansas City ahead of this matchup.
Payne tweeted:
Wild Chiefs' TD covered the spread and pushed game over the total. It caused a $350,000 swing against house @CGTechnology_, per @jsimbal.
Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker drilled a 43-yard field goal with 8 seconds left in his first career game. This was followed by linebacker Justin Houston picking up a fumble as the Redskins were attempting to keep the game alive and returned it for a game-ending touchdown.
Houston’s touchdown resulted in that $350,000 swing at the Vegas sportsbooks and countless others online.
