CNBC: Bitcoin May be Heading for $6000 by Year’s End

Now accounting for nearly 40% of all online gambling transactions in markets such as North America, the anonymous digital currency could hit $6000 by year’s end (just a few months from now), according to CNBC. Bitcoin rose more than 74 percent in the third quarter hitting an all-time high of $5,013.91.

"Throughout the year we've been predicting the bitcoin price will surpass $5,000 and creep closer to $6,000 by year's end. That prediction is looking more in line with market sentiment these days," Thomas Glucksmann, head of APAC business development at Gatecoin, a cryptocurrency exchange, told CNBC by email.

Glucksmann did warn of more volatility to come however.
