Books Make Out Nicely With Vikings Failed Cover

While the Minnesota Vikings did win their divisional game against the Chicago Bears Monday night, they failed to cover the spread or otherwise pushed with the 3-point victory.

BetOnline head honcho Dave Mason tweeted out his satisfaction.

House big time Bears fans tonight. 72% of the cash on the Vikings (-3.5).

Generally 60% or greater volume on any one side for a Monday Night Football game will impact the books in a big way.  72% is a huge windfall for books like BetOnline, which have seen some great results even ahead of this football season with Floyd Mayweather’s victory against Conor McGregor in late August.

U.S. Online Gambling Losses to Surpass $1 Trillion by 2028, Group Says

U.S. lawmakers and government regulators "cannot continue to rely on the theory of responsible gambling, which shifts the burden of harm prevention onto individuals," Derek Webb, founder and chief funder of the California-based Campaign for Fairer Gambling, said Wednesday in a release.
