It's funny last year how Gambling911.com didn't even bother offering a preview for the Arizona Cardinals, thinking nobody would notice.  This year, the Cardinals 2009/2010 betting odds are being scrutinized nice and early following their shocking appearance in the 2009 Super Bowl.

And just like last year, nobody seems to be giving these Cardinals much love.   They are after all ranked midway down the list of hopefuls, paying a remarkable $2500 for every $100 bet should they win the 2010 Super Bowl at BetUS.com.

Unfortunately 7 of the last 8 teams to lose in the Super Bowl failed to make the Playoffs the following year.  OUCH!

There are concerns:  The Cardinals lack an elite pass rusher and were, at times, helpless against the run.  God forbid Kurt Warner goes down, then the team is in serious trouble.  The good news is that the NFC West should be weak once again.  SHOULD BE but that might not necessarily be the case as oddsmakers have made both Seattle and San Francisco pretty big favorites to win at least 8 regular season games in 2009.

Arizona features several returning players but the newcomers will also play a major role during the upcoming season.

Of all the Arizona Cardinals' offseason additions, CB Bryant McFadden is the team's most prized possession. McFadden will be teamed with rising star Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie at cornerback, supplying the Cardinals with an excellent tandem at the position. With Rodgers-Cromartie still developing, McFadden could prove to be Arizona's most formidable defender on the perimeter, remarks Brad Wilbricht of the AZRedReport.com.

The Cardinals have also signed two-time Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson to a new five-year, $39 million contract, with $18.5 million guaranteed. Likewise, Kurt Warner re-signed with Arizona.

Oh, and there's Larry Fitzgerald.

Anquan Boldin, meanwhile, is looking to be traded out of Arizona, which could lead to some locker room tensions.

There is a new defensive coordinator in town as well as a new offensive coordinator now that Todd Haley has left to coach the Kansas City Chiefs.  This will likely have an impact on the team, and probably not a positive one.

While Gambling911.com has been bullish on the Browns over the past two weeks, action was balanced on this one with the line only moving up a half point over the course of the week, making this game less attractive in terms of a glaring "must bet" situation.
